The other photo is older, possibly late 1950s, as is evidenced by the cars and the absence of some of the newer building in the first photograph. In the older image, The Moorings is clearly visible in the upper right portion of the photo. His first order is for twenty 38-foot Coast Guard picket boats. By the end of the war, 93 of these boats are built for the Coast Guard, using production line techniques developed for the Islander.
