The tower at the top left of the photograph housed the fire whistle behind Gilley Plumbing building on the left. The fire truck was kept in a small building beside the whistle in a corner of the present [2010] Pemetic School playground. Gilley on his lot near his home on the Main Road and was used there as a plumber's shop for some years. Then it was moved to its present situation and in 1929 it was moved to the rear of the lot and the show rooms and upstairs living apartment were built. Mr. Gilley's grandson, Wendell H. Gilley, now carries on the business." The automobiles Left to Right: 1938 Oldsmobile 4 Door Sedan 1938 Chevrolet 4 Door Sedan 1938 Chevrolet 4 Door Sedan
