The first lobster boat in the foreground, on the dock, M2721A, may have been built by Rich & Grindle for George Dolliver. The excursion boat "Seal" in the center of the photograph was built by Normand Joseph Bouchard for Linwood Boynton Wedge (1913-1961) and Woodrow Wilson Herrick (1914-2002) to be used as a dragger. "Seal" was owned by Samuel A. The steeple on the Manset Union Church is visible on the horizon between the fourth and fifth building from the left. Fifth building from the left has a hammock on the front porch.
