Robinson - Byron Lewis Robinson (1899-1971) aka Bide

Byron Lewis Robinson was born to Lewis Kennison and Agnes M. (Newman) Robinson on June 15, 1899 in Tremont, Maine. Byron married Mary Caroline Brown (1904-1997), daughter of William S. and Hattie Gertrude (Stover) Brown on January 14, 1923 in Somesville, Maine by Rev. Oscar L. Olsen at the home of Howard E. Robinson, Byron's brother. Byron and Howard were in the automobile business together. Byron Lewis Robinson died on June 2, 1971 in Southwest Harbor, Maine.

Byron served in WWI. He was a pattern maker for Hinckley boats in Manset for 20 years. He carved boat models, among them a model of the clipper ship "Flying Cloud" that was built by Donald McKay - reputed to be the fastest vessel ever to sail under the American flag. The model was an exact replica of the original ship down to the last tiny block in the complicated rigging. He built the model for a client in New York in 1965.
