Louise Lawton Fernald was born in 1873 to Oliver Haley Fernald and his second wife, Ruth Amelia (Lawton) Fernald, in Somerset, Massachusetts. Louise was the great granddaughter of Tobia Fernald (1768-1839). Louise married Lynn Morse Goulding (1865-1944) on August 29, 1933 in Southwest Harbor, Maine, as his second wife. Louise owned the Capt. Levi Robinson / James Long house at 7 High Road, Southwest Harbor, Tax Map 5 – Lot 17 – MHPC 405-0832, previously the home of Rebecca (Whitmore) Lurvey Carroll, from 1944 until her death. Louise Lawton (Fernald) Goulding died on May 17, 1963 in Bar Harbor, Maine.
